NAVIGATING THE ENGLISH VIRTUAL WORKSHOP

Before you view the VERB WALL, be sure to click on PRONOUNS in the side bar. Then…Click on WALL PHOTO on the sidebar menu to see a diagram of the English Verb Wall as it would be displayed in a classroom. From this photo you can click on the individual highlighted areas to zoom in on a close-up and read a detailed explanation. As you explore the various parts of the verb wall, the NAVIGATION GUIDE, a miniature of the Wall Photo, will appear in the upper left hand corner. The current area you are visiting will be highlighted, showing your location on the Verb Wall at all times.

There are some Primary Supplements that should be displayed permanently that extend beyond the basic Verb Wall. There are other supplements that should be on permanent display for ESOL only. (“would to express the conditional” and “used to and would to express the imperfect”)

You will be able to link to both the Primary and ESOL supplements from the left side bar. You may click where it says + Primary Supplements and + ESOL Supplements to add these to the Wall Photo. When you click on either of these, a list of several “Secondary Supplements” will appear below the Wall Photo. These are designed to be pulled and used as needed; they are not for permanent display. Simply click on the name of the Secondary Supplement to see the sheet and its description.
